The Blog You Aren't Reading

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating.  I have another blog, called Puppies of Purgatory, that I think most regular readers of this blog would enjoy.  It's really nothing more than pictures of cute boys, for those who like that sort of thing.  Right now Pups is dying on the vine.  It has very few followers, a tiny amount of daily views, no feedback to speak of, and consequently I lately have not been motivated to update it on a regular basis.  So, I don't know. Check it out. Subscribe if you want to.  Or just grab the pictures you like before I decide to delete the whole thing.  It's your call.

Angel Revisited

Some months ago our friend April sent us pictures of willowy, blond modelboy Tait Geijer who looks like something Raphael might have come up with if he were trying to paint a Viking.  A very thin Viking.  Recently, April directed us to more pictures of  soon-to-be-eighteen-year-old Tait, who she refers to a "the most beautiful boy in the world",  and inspired us to hunt down a few more photos of him.  To date, Tait hasn't exactly been prolific in his modeling career, but we hope that will change now that he is what we laughingly refer to as "an adult."  No one quite embodies the ethereal / androgynous look quite as well as he.  Although in a couple of these photos he looks disturbingly similar to Mischa Barton.

Paddy In Motion

Our new friend, Pitbullshark, has kindly sent us this wonderful video of model Paddy Mitchell, truly one of the most beautiful boys in the world.  As Pitbullshark rightly informed me, this must be played in full screen mode to achieve best effect. I Swoon

Out of all the images that we've seen from River Viiperi and Rory Torrens' photo shoot for Coitus Magazine, the is the one that came closest to making my head explode.  Perfection.

This Week's River News

Would you believe River Viiperi and Kylie Minogue, together at last? And on the cover of Attitude? Wake me up, I think I'm dreaming. Of course there are some other nice boys at hand as well, just in case River isn't your cup of tea (as hard as that is to imagine).  This is the July issue, so it's probably very old hat to non-Americans, but it's new to me.

I stole borrowed these photos from Homotography, so maybe you should go there and give them some love.

Why Not?

Why Not Model Management just released these new polaroids of their client, lovely and faun-like Rory Torrens. Of all the young models out there right now,  nobody can quite match Rory in the haughty grandeur department.  It's as if he's thinking, look while you can, because you're never getting any of it.  I'm sure it speaks poorly of my character that I find this very appealing.

Jeremy Sumpter, We Need To Have A Little Talk

I don't know why I  have to explain this to you or your little friend, but when you take a shower, it is traditional, even practical, to remove your trousers first.  I'm glad that you had the foresight to take off your shirt, but never leave a job half done.  Now, don't make me have to mention this again.

Guilty Pleasures: 90s Edition

I have to admit that when I first saw this video, which premiered at the end of a Beverly Hills, 90210 episode, I went a little crazy.  Jeremy Jordan was a great looking kid with a nice voice and a willingness to take off his shirt at the drop of a hat, but the grunge era was just beginning and this kind of feather-weight pop music was getting pushed out of the marketplace. Try My Love was a cute, very listenable little album, The Right Kind of Love was a platinum single, Jeremy was in all the teen magazines (and some of the grown-up ones- Bruce Weber photographed him, tastefully nude, for Interview Magazine) but MTV, which, as hard as it is to believe now, was the arbiter of all that was cool at that time, would only play his videos on their top ten request show, and even then the hipper-than-thou VJs actually took the time to denigrate him.  Jeremy,  who has one of the most harrowing life stories you could ever imagine (parental abandonment, child abuse, homelessness)  switched to acting, but following his most high-profile role,with Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed (1999), he disappeared.  

Wannagirl was his second, smaller hit, but the embargo on his music was so huge by then that I never saw this video until I found it on YouTube an hour ago.

Alex Goes Rustic

Don't you just hate it when you have a subscription to a magazine and it seems as if everybody gets said magazine before you do?  Wouldn't you think that one of the advantages of having a subscribtion would be that you would get your copy before non-subscribers get theirs?  It kind of pisses me off that I had to find these photos of Alex Pettyfer, my future ex-husband, on the internet instead of having a copy of the August issue of Interview, a magazine to which I subscribe, in my hot little hands. Ah well,  it's better to be pissed off than to be pissed on, as Gandhi always said.  Or was that Frederich Nietzsche? Rodney Dangerfield?

Anyway,  here's Alex, looking all scruffy/cute/wholesome, not to mention shirtless and barefoot, in this down-on-the-farm photoshoot by Gregory Harris.  Have I ever mentioned that nothing melts my heart faster than the sight of a boy with a dog?

The Quiff Is Back

If the last round of menswear shows are to be believed,  it's all about the quiff this year, and here we have 18-year-old model Christian Plauche to show you how it's done. Will we be seeing this style on the street any time soon?  That remains to be seen.  I'm guessing no.

Mario Revisited

 

I just watched two very odd Thai movies (actually one long movie that has been cleverly cut in half in order to make more money) called Rahtree Reborn and Rahtree Revenge. I'm not going to lie and say that I liked them, but if nothing else they reminded me that Mario Maurer, or should I say มาริโอ้ เมาเร่อ, is still one of the most exquisite creatures on the planet.
